How to keep informed about City Bids If you want to be advised when there is a city bid request, there are three different ways: First, check the City’s website (here) regularly. All current bids are posted here. Second, register with Demandstar. This is the City’s preferred method, because of its electronic interface with our bids. The City posts all requests for bids on Demandstar/Onvia, http://www.demandstar.com/. Registration with Demandstar means that you will get an email notifying you every time there is a bid, from the City or from any other participating agency, that is within your typical commodity or service code. Third, the city maintains a list of registered vendors. If you do not wish to register with Demandstar or check the website regularly, you may complete and mail to the city a vendor application form. When the City posts a request for bid that is within the commodity code for which you registered, you will receive a mail notice. The vendor application forms are online in Adobe Acrobat format. You can download these forms using the Acrobat plug-in, available from Adobe, then print them out, fill them in and return them to us.
